This week's mini-challenge kicked off with a loungewear competition. The contestants created a design to complement a high-end robe to be sold at Saks! Anna came out on top for the second week in a row with her neatly constructed camisole and shorts.

Isaac decided to take the elimination challenge to an extrasensory level. Each designer met with a well-known NYC psychic, and received a Tarot card reading to determine his or her fate in the competition. Johnny's Six of Swords symbolized travel, which left him thinking he might be sent home soon. On the other hand, Daniella's Six of Pentacles gave her confidence, as it represents creativity.

Kelly instructed the designers to create a look that captured the meaning of their card. Anna's card meant nature, so she designed a polka dot baby doll dress full of color. Reco's card depicted structure, inspiring him to construct a uniquely tailored 3-piece suit that "screamed Reco."

The audience fell in love with Anna's design, as did the judges. Guest judge Vivienne Tam said the dress made her happy to look at. Looks like Anna's stars aligned for this challenge, as she was named the winner!

James-Paul's card represented simplicity yet he opted for an intrinsic asymmetrical jumpsuit. Merlin, who received the same card as Johnny, created an impractical sweat suit with an overly detailed coat. The audience voted them in the bottom two.

Although James-Paul did not execute this challenge well, the judges agreed he is a clever designer, and decided to keep him in the competition. Magical Merlin was sent packing.

Even if Merlin’s design didn’t make the cut, the hair however, was amazing. For salon-perfect hair that can stand up to any competition, go to:

TRESemmé® StyleSeeker says:

The excitement is building and honestly, I didn’t realize how attached I would be to each designer. Last night they booted off Magical Merlin (wait, was that callous?), and I was certain that he was going to at least be in the final two. Now, if one of the designers has an “off” week, they’re gone!

The psychic brought an interesting twist to this challenge and Anna played her Tarot cards right by designing a happy, flowery dress. In fact, the model’s curly, playful hair by TRESemmé really brought the whole look together. I’m choosing Anna to go all the way. What’s your prediction?

I liked the Tarot card idea! What a cool way to decide design.
