Happy Fashion Week, fashionistas!

Today is the start of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and the place was bustling! The TRESemmé team did the hair for three designers today – Nicholas K, Whitney Eve (by Whitney Port of MTV’s The Hills and The City) and Mara Hoffman. The designers did a joint show, so each one showed back to back, which meant backstage was WILD with models, stylists, make-up artists and last minute fittings. But the designers seemed calm, cool and collected the entire time.

The designers have such different styles, so each of the hairstyles were so different – a messy bun on top of the head for Nicholas K, a flirty pony for Whitney Eve and an elegant updo for Mara Hoffman.

Now let’s talk about the fashion….OMG, I loved! For this show, it seemed the theme was color! Nicholas K sported a lot of bright colors, some great plaid numbers and fantastic jackets. Also, if you’re looking for something for the man in your life...she had fantastic sweaters for guys (on some not-so-shabby looking male models).

Whitney Port made her Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week appearance today with her Whitney Eve collection. Her designs begged to be taken out dancing! Lots of fun party dresses with shimmer and ton of movement. Fresh-faced models with bright lips wore ruffles, lace and flirty sweetheart necklines.

Mara Hoffman used bright geometric patterns and created beautiful draping and pleats…almost looked like the pieces were cascading down the runway. The attention to detail was incredible with lots of braiding and the back of the designs were as fantastic as the front!

One day down and what a day it was!
